Features

Markets
One of the most important aspects of any online sportsbook is just how many different betting opportunities it supplies to punters. Betvictor ranks highly in this regard, as they regularly price up loads of in-play and pre-event markets for a multitude of different competitions, tournaments and events. In fact, they cover all of the following sports:
- American Football
- Aussie Rules
- Badminton
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Bowls
- Boxing
- Cricket
- Darts
- Football
- Formula One
- Gaelic Football
- Golf
- Greyhounds
- Handball
- Horse Racing
- Hurling
- Ice Hockey
- MMA/UFC
- Motorcycling
- Netball
- Rugby League
- Rugby Union
- Snooker
- Speedway
- Table Tennis
- Tennis
- Virtual Sports
- Volleyball
- Winter Sports
When you head to the homepage for each of the above sports, you will find a list of the upcoming matches or events with betting markets available. If a match or event is scheduled to be taken in-play by Betvictor once it begins, a small symbol depicting a stop watch will appear next to the odds for the event. If cash out is available for bets placed on the event, meanwhile, a symbol showing a hand grasping a bank note will appear.
In-Play Review of Betvictor
As we mentioned above, sporting events or games which will be taken in-play by Betvictor are marked out on the bookie’s website by a stop watch symbol. Those events appear within the ‘In-Play’ section of the Betvictor website when they go live and generally include contests from a wide range of sports. When you select any such event, you are taken to its in-play dashboard, and the features of that dashboard differ a little from one sport to another.
Football In-Play

In-play football console & stats.
Football matches which are priced up by Betvictor and have been taken in-play benefit from an in-play dashboard with a variety of notable features. Those include a handy live scoreboard which displays the current score and match time, as well as a football pitch graphic on which the current events of the match are displayed as they happen. On and around that graphic, too, there is an option to display key stats from the match to better inform a punter’s bets. Speaking of which, the available markets then complete the dashboard and make in-play betting swift and simple.
Horse Racing In-Play
Seeing as Betvictor is an online sportsbook rather than a betting exchange, it should come as no surprise that they do not actually cater for in-running betting on horse racing. The bookmaker do, however, offer an excellent all around horse racing betting service and allow punters to watch live streams of any UK or Irish races that they have bet at least £1 on.
Tennis In-Play

Live tennis betting at Betvictor.
Betvictor’s tennis in-play dashboard is similar to that which they provide for football, in that it includes more than just the available betting markets for any given match. At the head of the dashboard, the current score of the match – down to the points scored in the currently ongoing game – is displayed and updated as live. Beneath that, meanwhile, there is a kind of running text commentary feature which displays the major events of the match in chronological order. It is then beneath that feature that punters will find the currently available in-play markets for the match and their continuously updating odds.
Go to Betvictor & select ‘IN-PLAY’ to view all odds and markets now.
Live Streaming
As well as providing a comprehensive in-play betting service, Betvictor also provide a selection of live streams which allow punters to watch the action they’ve bet on as it unfolds. Whilst Betvictor’s ‘Bet & Watch’ service isn’t as diverse or wide-ranging as the streaming options provided by some other bookmakers, they do comprehensively cover the following sports:
- Horse Racing
- Greyhound Racing
How to Access Streams
Betvictor’s ‘Bet & Watch’ service provides a live stream for every UK and Irish horse and greyhound race via both the Betvictor website and their mobile app (as well as some racing from South Africa & the UAE). In order to be eligible to watch a stream, a punter must have placed a bet worth at least £1 on that race. If they have met that simple requirement, they can then head to the race via the website or app at or around its start time and select the ‘Bet & Watch’ link which will be available. The stream of the race will then appear at the top of that very page.
Visit Betvictor’s website and select ‘Horse Racing or ‘Greyhounds’ to see what’s showing live.
Geo restrictions apply, bet & watch.

Betvictor History
1931
William Chandler opens Walthamstow Stadium greyhound track, in what was the beginnings of a betting business that would ultimately become Betvictor.
1946
William Chandler dies and passes on the running of Walthamstow Stadium to sons Charles and Percy, and the running of the now separate bookmaking business to sons Victor Sr. and Jack.
1974
The death of Victor Sr. saw the operation of the family’s bookmaking business pass down to his son Victor Jr.
1998
Victor Jr. took the then near-unprecedented steps of moving the company’s headquarters to Gibraltar and taking the entire business offshore, in order to avoid UK gambling tax.
2004
The company underwent a commercial rebrand and was renamed ‘VC Bet’.
2008
Victor Jr. decided to change the company’s name back to the formerly used ‘Victor Chandler’.
2012
A third name change saw the company adopt the current ‘Betvictor’ moniker.
Bad Reviews & Complaints
As a company who serve a great many customers around the world, and especially one which does most of its business online, Betvictor is unsurprisingly the subject of a multitude of online customer reviews. Many of those reviews, through channels such as Trust Pilot or on the App Store, are positive but there are of course some bad ones too. We’re going to take a look at a selection of those bad reviews and discuss whether customers’ complaints are largely valid or if they’re a little sketchy.
Questionable Complaints
The vast majority of customer reviews which rate Betvictor most poorly seem to come from punters who have been asked for ID verification. In many cases, it is simply the request for this verification which has angered punters to the point that they’ve submitted one star reviews and denounced Betvictor as being in some way a scam.
That is clearly not the case, and Betvictor do only request ID in order to guard against criminal activity, as they are legally required to do. The degree to which such reviews should be taken seriously by people who are trying to decide whether to use Betvictor, therefore, is more than a little bit questionable.
It’s a similar story, too, for those negative reviews which rail against the terms and conditions of Betvictor’s welcome promotion. These terms and conditions are clearly supplied by the bookmaker to punters and are not wildly different from those applied by other bookmakers to their similar offers.
Reasonable Concerns
Whilst we have stated that the legitimacy of those reviews which criticise Betvictor for requesting ID verification is somewhat questionable, it should be noted that some reviews do flag up genuine concerns with how the bookmaker handle the process.
There are a number of reports, for instance, of Betvictor offering unclear verification instructions and taking absurdly long to complete the process. These types of complaint should certainly be taken seriously and may reveal a genuine issue with Betvictor’s customer service in that area.

- Great Ongoing Value. The odds offered by Betvictor, especially for major sports like football, are amongst the very best around.
- High Value Welcome Promotion. In offering a total bonus value worth £30, Betvictor’s is one of the most generous welcome offers you will find anywhere.

- Poor Selection of Promotions. Betvictor have one of the smallest selections of ongoing promotions, of any major bookmaker.

A company with over 80 years’ worth of history in and around the gambling industry, Betvictor remains one of the most trusted bookmakers around. They provide an excellent array of betting markets, great odds and a high value welcome promotion to their current and future customers.
Betvictor also offer arguably the most user-friendly mobile betting apps around, but do lag behind their competitors in terms of live streaming and ongoing promotions. Star Rating 5.0 out of 5.
