New Customer Bonus & Promotions
One of the newer online bookmakers offering a sportsbook to punters far and wide, Unibet run an interesting new customer promotion is order to persuade people to give them a try. That welcome offer provides up to £40 as bonus money if an eligible new customer’s first bet with the company is a losing one plus a £10 casino bonus.
In order to take part in the promotion, a punter has to create a brand new Unibet account and then ‘opt in’ to the offer. They must then make a deposit worth at least £10 and place a sportsbook bet through the Unibet site, if that bet is a losing one they will then receive a refund of their stake up to a maximum of £40 as bonus money and get a casino bonus to play with on top..

Withdrawing
Unlike the vast majority of new customer offers from Unibet’s main competitors, their own welcome promotion is subject to wagering requirements.
Once a customer has received their refund as bonus money – up to a maximum of £40 for sports – they then have a period of 30 days in which they must wager an amount equal to at least three times the total bonus amount.
It is only as and when those wagering requirements have been met that any type of withdrawal of funds is possible. If those wagering requirements are not successfully fulfilled within the 30 days, any remaining bonus funds and all winnings earned through their use will be forfeit and removed from the punter’s Unibet account.
The casino side of the bonus, £10, comes with a 25x wagering requirement.
Visit Unibet & select the ‘Special Offers’ tab to opt in and see all other promotions.

Features

Markets
The above has introduced some of the additional features offered via the Unibet online sportsbook. One of the most impressive things about the betting service offered by Unibet, however, is the vast range of betting markets offered to punters. Those markets encompass all of the following diverse sports:
- American Football
- Aussie Rules
- Bandy
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Beach Soccer
- Boxing
- Chess
- Cricket
- Cycling
- Cyclo-cross
- Darts
- E-Sports
- Floorball
- Football
- Futsal
- Golf
- Greyhound Racing
- Handball
- Horse Racing
- Ice Hockey
- Motorsports
- Netball
- Olympic Games
- Pesapallo
- Rugby League
- Rugby Union
- Snooker
- Surfing
- Table Tennis
- Tennis
- Trotting
- UFC/MMA
- Volleyball
- Winter Olympics Games
- Winter Sports
The smallest, least popular of those sports may not see many events taken in-play but the majority of sports do include multiple live betting opportunities offered by Unibet. Which events are due to be taken in-play by the bookmaker are clearly displayed on their website by a red ‘In-Play’ symbol accompanied by a small clock image.
Whether cash out is available for a particular market, meanwhile, can be revealed by adding a selection from the market to your website. If cash out is available, a green ‘Cash Out’ symbol will be displayed on the slip.
In-Play Review of Unibet
Football In-Play

In-play football graphics.
Football is one of the sports which is best served by Unibet’s in-play betting service and selecting any live football match from the in-play area of the Unibet website will open its in-play dashboard.
The dashboards are generally split vertically into two halves, with the left hand half being taken up by a list of the currently available in-play betting markets and their continually updating odds. On the right hand side, meanwhile, there are a pair of handy additional features. First, there is a football pitch graphic which displays the match score, match clock, live updates from the match and key stats like cards and corners. Beneath that, there is then a chronological list of the main events of the match and when they took place.
Tennis In-Play

Live tennis stats at Unibet.
Arguably the most popular sport around for in-play betting, tennis is unsurprisingly very well catered for by Unibet. Loads of matches go in-play daily and selecting one of them takes you to the in-play dashboard which the bookie provides for that match.
In exactly the same way as we described for the football dashboard, Unibet’s tennis in-play dashboards are also split in two with the available betting markets taking up the left hand side. The right hand side on this occasion, however, displays a tennis court graphic which doubles as a live scoreboard and displays some key statistics. Beneath that, there is then an in-depth list of the match’s prior events including the point score progression (0-15, 15-15, 30-15 etc.) for each game.
Horse Racing In-Play
Unibet’s in-play betting service is generally pretty impressive but, like most online sportsbooks, it does not include a facility for betting on horse races in-running. That, at time of writing, is still a feature reserved solely for betting exchanges. What Unibet does offer, however, is a ‘Unibet TV’ feature which allows for live streaming of UK and Irish horse races and we will talk more about that later.
Visit Unibet.co.uk & select ‘In-Play’ to see all markets and odds now.
Live Streaming
Unibet are one of a handful of major bookmakers who offer their punters a comprehensive live streaming service. Unibet call their feature ‘Unibet TV’ and it offers the chance to watch thousands of different streams each week. Those streams cover an impressive wide and varied range of sports, as follows:
- Horse Racing
- Greyhound Racing
- Tennis
- Football
- Basketball
- Table Tennis
- Volleyball
- Snooker
- Volleyball
How to Access Streams
As is the case with the live streaming services of most online bookmakers, streams for horse and greyhound races and streams for other sports are provided as two separate services. The following, therefore, explains how a punter can access both of those different offerings.
Horse & Greyhound Racing Streams
Unibet provide live streams of all UK and Irish horse and greyhound races. Only punters who have placed a bet worth at least £1 on a given race, however, are eligible to watch the live stream. If they’ve met that criteria a punter can simply select the ‘Watch’ tab at the top of a race’s page on the Unibet website and their live stream will be displayed.
Other Sports Streams
Streams of sports other than horse and greyhound racing, including football and tennis, are available to a wider selection of Unibet customers.
In fact, any punter with a funded Unibet account or an account from which they have placed a bet in the past 24 hours can watch these live streams. The streams are all displayed and are accessible via the dedicated ‘Live Streaming’ section of the Unibet sportsbook.
Visit Unibet.co.uk & select ‘Live Streaming’ to see the full schedule.
Geo restrictions apply, bet & watch.
Deposit & Withdrawal Options
Unibet do not currently list deposit or withdrawal limits on their website – this is likely because they are player and country specific.

Bad Reviews & Complaints
Whilst Unibet are comparatively new to the online gambling market, in the UK at least, they have been around plenty long enough to have been the subject of lots of online reviews from users. These reviews range from the very good to the very bad, as is the case for all companies, but it is the latter we are interested in.
We’ve taken a closer look at those bad reviews to see whether there are any clues as to genuine issues with the Unibet service or if the complaints can be, if not disregarded, then taken with a pinch of salt.
Questionable Complaints
As is the case for a lot of bookmakers, many of the negative Unibet reviews you will find online are posted by customers unhappy with having been asked to verify their accounts by providing ID documentation. Whilst the timing of ID requests – which often occur when a customer tries to withdraw funds – is unquestionably frustrating for a punter, the requests are a requirements placed upon online betting sites by their licences so are not something which can ever be avoided.
Reasonable Concerns
Amongst the other negative reviews posted regarding Unibet, the main source of user complaints seems to be the Unibet mobile app. A number of customers have reviewed the app as being far from user-friendly and taking a lot of time both to load and to complete the bet placing process. Such reviews are, in fact, quite numerous and do suggest a genuine issue with the apps which hopefully Unibet will soon take in hand.
Unibet Review – Our Rating
- Many Markets. Unibet provide one of the widest ranges of markets around, when it comes to the different sports covered.
- Intuitive In-Play. Loads of events across plenty of different sports are regularly taken in-play and in-play dashboards are user-friendly and intuitive.
- Excellent Live Streaming. ‘Unibet TV’ provides thousands of live streams each week, with sports streams available to all customers with a funded account.
- Poor Welcome Promotion. Unibet’s welcome promotion only benefits punters whose first bet loses and applied three times wagering requirements to any bonus paid.
- Limited Other Promotions. Unibet’s selection of ongoing promotions is more limited than that offered by most major bookmakers.
- Slow Mobile Apps. The mobile offering from Unibet can be quite slow to load and to use, across many different devices.
One of the newer online bookmakers available to UK punters, Unibet unquestionably provide a decent betting service. They do not, however, quite manage to rank as highly as some of the biggest names in the industry. Their excellent range of markets and outstanding ‘Unibet TV’ feature, after all, are let down by a poor selection of promotions, a less than generous welcome offer and some operational issues with their mobile apps. Star Rating 3.5 out of 5.0.
